Biblical Womanhood: A Study Guide (My New Book!)

Biblical Womanhood: A Study Guide (My New Book!)

There are many women Bible teachers but few who teach biblical womanhood. Christian marriages are falling apart at an alarming rate. Children are being raised by strangers instead of by loving and nurturing mothers. They are being sent away to government-run schools all of their childhood where teachers aren’t allowed to teach anything about the Lord and His ways. Most women don’t know that they are the ones who God has commanded to be keepers at home and raise their own children. Teenagers raised in Christian homes are walking away from their faith in high numbers. Thus, the reason I write this study.

I would love to see churches all over begin to have the older women teaching the younger women the ways of biblical womanhood as commanded in Titus 2:3-5. There would be classes where a few older women would gather around a circle with younger women and begin to teach them the ways of the Lord. They would teach them how to have strong marriages, raise godly children, be keepers at home, learn the ways of homemaking, dress modestly, and teach them to be women after God’s own heart. The young women can ask the older women questions and learn from their experiences and wisdom.

This is a twelve-week course intended to teach young women what God wants them to be taught about biblical womanhood. The Church needs older women to step up to the plate and begin obeying God in this area. What if older women feel disqualified? If you are a godly, older woman, you ARE qualified according to God! Here are the qualifications for older women: “that they be in behavior, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things” (Titus 2:3) and the “good things” they are commanded to teach are listed in Titus 2:4, 5.

“That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love
their husband, to love their children, to be discreet, chaste,
keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that
the word of God be not blasphemed.”

I will also be using verses from Proverbs 31 and other verses in the Bible that specifically have to do with biblical womanhood. I pray this will be encouraging  and enriching to the older women as well as the young women. I know that as I have taught young women, it has caused me to examine myself and my own  actions more closely. It has also convicted and challenged me. God’s Word has a way of doing this!

I asked a godly, older women in our church to read it for me and after reading it, she told me that my book was very bold yet very biblical!

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart.
Hebrews 4:12

  1. Wow congrats on your book! God bless you for standing up for God’s word. This is such a good idea but I wonder how many people or churches will be bold enough to read on it and teach it. I know there are so many young women out there longing to be taught about biblical womanhood and this book will make it easier for them to go to classes and be instructed in the ways of the Lord.

  2. I am praying this will be the case, KB. It forces women to dig into their Bibles and find out God’s will for them. His Word is powerful and life-changing, so there’s no better way for them to learn biblical womanhood!

  3. Congratulations Lori, well done on your new book!? We are living with my Folks at the moment while they both recover from trips to hospital.?
My precious Antony can’t remember his amazon password so I shall have to be patient and wait to buy it when I get home!
I wish you every success with this new adventure!
    Love Jilly!❤️?❤️?❤️

  4. Congratulations on your new book, Lori, I just left the first review of it! Didn’t need to read it, though I will be buying it shortly.

I pray America develops many more Godly older women like you to become beacons of light to the younger women, who have been so often deceived and misled by unscrupulous men and older women.

I will be writing my first book here shortly, and will announce it. It will detail what life was like in a family of 18 children. If nothing else, it cannot be dull, for in a state of 30 million (California), fewer than 30 families had above 15 children in the past 30 years.

  5. I’m so excited for this book! I really am trying to learn about being the kind of woman I am called to be. I struggle with an impatient heart, and I so badly want to correct that. My husband wants that as well, lol! Any suggestions for jumping into this lifestyle?

  6. Thank you so much for writing a book like this. I recently graduated from high school last week and I’ve been bombarded with questions about college and what career I’m pursuing. Reading your blog posts have made me realize that I do not desire higher education and a stressful career. What I desire is to get married and be at home taking care of my children. I’ve grown up in a Christian home but my father was abusive and my mother thankfully left him. Having to work to support 4 kids my mother wasn’t always able to fully teach me the things that I have learned through your blog and for that I am eternally grateful. My mother keeps pushing me towards college and I just don’t feel as if that is the right path for me. She wants me to become a doctor. How can I make her see that higher education and a career is not for me? What do I do if I don’t go to college and am waiting for my husband? Should I work or maybe start a business?
Any help and guidance would be greatly appreciated.

  7. Hi Lori, This might be an “unusual” comment, but thank you for making your book so affordably priced! I will be ordering it tonight!

  8. I ordered mine as soon as i read in yesterdays comments it had been released. *patiently waits by the mailbox* ?? (winter has just begun here and its bucketing down with rain and freezing temperatures. But thats very ok, ill wait. Lol.)

  9. Prayed for this to make way in many churches! You are in my prayers dear lady! Thank you Lori (my VT2)! May this be a bolt of lightning that ignites a fire in the hearts of those who desire to please our Lord Jesus! To God be the Glory!

  10. Ordered mine this morning. Will be here Friday. Can’t wait to dig into it and the Bible as well. I loved your other book. It’s what introduced the term biblical womanhood to me. And it changed my life. Congratulations and may God bless your efforts.

  11. That is so exciting! I can’t wait to buy a copy and do this study. May I ask who designed the cover? It is really pretty!

  12. Im just wondering Lori, its a bit off topic. But i saw an article the other day that claimed male suicide rates have tripled. Im just wondering. How do we help our husbands if they are depressed? I think one of the leading causes is that society tries to silence amd emasculate men. How can we, as Godly women, reverse or reduce this horrible statistic?

  13. I believe that I am a strong Christian mom. I send my profoundly disabled child to a fantastic school so they can get appropriate therapies. I look forward to your new book!

  14. ???????? I’m very excited to hear that you have a new book out. I hope that the hard copy will be delivered out here in the sticks soon enough. I can’t wait to share it with my fellow “rescued ex feminists” we love the unvarnished truth of God’s Word because PC twaddle never calls anyone to repentance. Well done Lori????

  15. Blessed be you sister for hearing the word of the Lord and striving to carry it to others as he intended it, rather than supporting self-serving under the guise of Godliness.

  16. Yes we are and it is such a wonderful pleasure to serve our precious Folks. Ant, Joshua and I have moved into their apartment with them and we are having the most wonderful family time – God is so good! I get a lot of time with my wonderful Mama and Daddy and I cherish every minute of it knowing that at 90 years young there maybe not a lot of time left!
How is your Daddy doing now?
You and yours are in my heart and prayers!
    Jilly

  17. I received my book today. Such a pretty little feminine book. I look forward to working through it and hopefully someday lovingly teaching it to daughter in laws.

  18. I look forward to reading your new book soon Lori. As a pastor’s wife I strongly feel the need to share biblical womanhood to this generation of women that desperately need biblical truth. We are pioneering a church, so we are in the very early stages. We don’t have any faithful women or girls yet, but I cant wait til we do!

God did an amazing thing in my life when I surrendered to his will for me as a woman. It’s a long story. All I keep saying now is, “Why didn’t I do this sooner? I was a Christian who believed God’s word. Where were those Godly older women to teach me as a young wife and mother?” Truth is, there were none. In fact, a lot of the older women that I witnessed in our church were living in a way that was contrary to what biblical womanhood portrays. So Godly women are rare gems!

But God is faithful. My whole life changed when I began to obey God’s word, not just read it. Even all that keeper and home and gentle and quiet stuff that no one wants to hear today! God’s word is powerful!

  19. If you ever have a group of young women who are interested in being mentored by you, feel free to contact me and I can give you a discount for my books!

  20. Hi Lori! I’m very excited to find your blog and am looking forward to learning more. I have an issue and i need some guidance from someone who has no relation. I’ve been married for almost 2 years and I have brought my husband back to Christ. Unfortunately i also tend to not always agree with what he says or suggests all the time and what i am now facing is being called ungodly and being threatened with divorce every time we argue it breaks me down. I don’t have anyone to talk to about this no mother or father for they are cultural rather than followers of Christ and i don’t have a church. Please help.

  21. Hi Julie!

Buy my study guide and get God’s Word into your life. It’s His Word that will transform you. I go into detail backed with Scripture on how to be a godly wife, even to a husband who is disobedient to the word.
