Complementarianism is an Appeasement to Feminism

Complementarianism is an Appeasement to Feminism

This post is based on a podcast by Hard Man called “Against Complementarianism.” I listened to it and took notes so I will be writing some things that were taught in the podcast along with my own thoughts.

The public schools and universities teach Marxist Feminism. They teach that authority is evil. They want to rid society of hierarchy. They believe these are “tools of suppression and must be destroyed.” This is why we are seeing a call by the Left to defund the police. They are also the ones who want gun control. Bottom line, they want chaos and anarchy. They support the criminals and hurt the law abiding citizens.

They believe patriarchy is evil since it’s authority. The ironic thing is that feminists want to be at the top of the authority structure. They don’t want men there. Complemenatrianism is an appeasement to feminists and the world. It accepts patriarchy as evil and rejects masculine authority. They falsely believe that authority isn’t the right to rule, but the right to serve, thus the label of “servant leadership.” It takes away authority in a sneaky way. As believers in Jesus Christ, we can’t appease the world. We live only to glorify God.

Biblical patriarchy is God’s ordained authority. The husbands’ role is providing, leading, and protecting. Husbands weren’t created to be their wives’ helper. Wives were created to be their husbands’ helper and live in submission to their husbands. God’s roles bring order and beauty. They are perfect and for our good.

God created us to be married. He gave men and women a sex drive for marriage and having children, NOT to fornicate and watch porn. It is not good for man to be alone, so God created a hep meet for him. Marriage is God’s design and it is good. His authority structure in the churches and in marriage is good. Let’s not fight it but accept it willingly. God’s path is the only one you want to be on, women.

Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord.  For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body. Therefore as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in every thing.
Ephesians 5:22-24

  1. Powerful post, I need to check out the podcast. As someone who use to believe in complementarianism I fail for the lies, it is a compromise of God’s word. As I dive more and more into the word I’ve realized the beauty in Patriarchy.

  2. Hi Lori.

Great post. What I see is the body of Christ either does not know the Word of God or is not willing to obey it. The scripture is very plain on the roles of men and women and husbands and wives. We need pastors with a shepherds heart (not hirelings) who will feed their flock the true word of God. I believe God will/is raising up such men now.

  3. Would you briefly clarify the difference between complementarianism and patriarchy?

  4. Yes, I will be checking it out, too. This post doesn’t have the power to stand on its own as a summary lacking in detail, so it’s essential to go the source of the actual article.

I know very little of the theology of complementarianism (lol, my spell check doesn’t recognize this term), so I am looking forward to learning more.

Thank you for including the link to the Twitter account. I trust we can access the podcast from there.

  5. In simple terms….

Egalitarianism = men and women can be leaders in all areas
Complementarianism= men are the leaders in church and at home but women can lead in other areas
Patriarchy = men are the leaders in all areas work, politics, church, home, etc.

Biblically speaking the Bible supports patriarchy

  6. I have been reading this guy’s awesome blog since you posted a link to it a few weeks back, but I am so excited to learn that he has a podcast as well! Thanks for the info!

  7. The part of the article that touched me most was that it stated George Floyd was also asking for his mother when he was dying. It reminds me that that happens often when men are dying. They don’t beg for their first grade teacher or their boss or even their Sunday school teacher but for their mom. But we as Christians have let the world lie to us and debase motherhood in our eyes. “Sure I want to be a mother but to be fulfilled I must also have this outside job”.

Raising children is such an important work, I often think of Nehemiah rebuilding the Jerusalem wall and how Sanballat and Tobiah tried to discourage him and then when the wall was halfway built, they went on the warpath. I feel I am building a wall by raising my children. Nehemiah responded to his detractors by saying, “The God of heaven will give us success. We his servants will start rebuilding, but as for you, you have no share in Jerusalem or any claim or historic right to it.”

The world keeps trying to get their talons into my children, public school, media, sometimes even the church, but we should say as Nehemiah did, “ but as for you, you have no share in [my children] or any claim or historic right to it.”

  8. Nothing to say but Amen and Amen. This is biblically solid, well written. Thank you for standing firmly on God’s word.

  9. It was a very powerful message. I will have to go back and listen again as this was not a podcast that could be background listening while doing housework. I appreciated the spirit of the message, and the respect he paid his mentor, even in disagreement. This will be a blog to begin reading and future podcasts to listen to.

  10. What I see is the body of Christ either does not know the Word of God or is not willing to obey it.

    Both are true.

  11. EXCELLENT podcast!! Thanks for the recommendation.

I started reading Piper and Grudem’s book two years ago and couldn’t stomach the acquiesce to feminism, but couldn’t fully put my finger on why I hated the book… Then Eric Conn!!

Masculinity and patriarchy have been my focus for a couple years…

    Thanks!

  12. I just found out they were working with Mary Kassian in all of this work. Figures. For some reason, many men falsely believe that they need a woman or women involved when they are going to write about or preach on female issues. As if the Bible isn’t enough.

  13. Thank you, I just listened to it. It definitely clarified my question! I thought it was strange, though, when he described biblical women as”tough” and “dangerous” toward the end. Doesn’t seem very feminine to me.
