Feminism: Not One Biblical Accomplishment

Feminism: Not One Biblical Accomplishment

Feminism hasn’t accomplished one thing that is biblical, not one. The right for women to vote isn’t biblical. God created men to be the leaders and as soon as women began to vote, they began to promote the idea that women knew better than men and that they could lead better than men. Feminism began the worship of women and hatred of men.

Feminism promoted birth control and abortion. God calls children gifts and blessings. He wants us to be fruitful and multiply. Now, most Christians even have no problem using birth control and only having a few children. Since feminism, children have become a hindrance and inconvenience. Many women value their careers and “me time” over having precious children and being home full time to raise them in the Lord.

Feminism has promoted women speaking in the church. God commands that women be silent in the church and even states that it’s a shame for women to speak in the church (1 Corinthians 14:35). Now, we have all these women “preachers” who travel around and have no problem being shameful and speaking in the churches. There are now women song leaders who have no problem praying and having mini sermons between songs. Why do women have to give announcements when men could do it just as easily? Feminism. No, women are no longer silent in the churches.

Feminism has promoted divorce and attacked marriage and the traditional family. If a woman isn’t “happy” she can divorce her husband and try to find a man that will make her happy. Unfortunately, she takes herself with her. Happiness is a choice. It doesn’t come from someone else or our circumstances.

Feminism has promoted broken families and broken children. Women insisted on leaving their homes and their children in the care of others so they could “pursue their passions” and have left insecure and emotionally unstable children in their path.

Feminism promoted immodesty and affairs. It turned women into sex objects as they burned their bras, fled their homes, and worked among men all day long in submission to men who were not their husbands.

Feminism has promoted ill-health and a fast food nation. Women are too busy pursuing what they want and have no desire to work hard in their kitchens making nutritious food for their families. Everything is for convenience sake now and not for what’s best. More children are overweight than ever before. They are getting diseases that used to be found only in adults.

Feminism has promoted women in high places. Women are now governors, mayors, senators, and CEOs and many of them are leaving their children in the care of strangers. God made men in all of the high places. He made them the kings, priests, prophets, patriarchs, disciples, elders, and deacons. God created men to be the leaders of nations, churches, and families, not women!

I am reading a book about menopause and hormone replacement and the author, Dr. John Lee, shares why he believed that hormone replacement became popular in the late 1950s. “The burgeoning awareness in American industry that the media could be easily manipulated to push their products took place in a cultural milieu that placed an emphasis on the nuclear family, with the father out earning a living and the mother at home with a baby on her hip and a batch of cookies in the oven…Women were thought to be at their best pleasing their husbands sexually and raising healthy, happy children.”

Yes, this is how life was for most women back then. If instead of being taught discontentment by feminism in this important role, do you not think most women would have stayed content at home if they were taught it was the best and healthiest place for them to be for their families and were not given feminist options that promised women “freedom” from the shackles of marriage, children, and the home? True freedom is only found in Christ and His ways.

Can you honestly say that women are more happy today divorced, single, raising children on their own, working for hours every day outside of their home, having abortions that cause mental anguish, taking birth control that messes up their bodies, eating fast food on the run, listening to lukewarm female preachers, and having more health problems and more depressed than ever before?

Thus saith the LORD, Stand ye in the ways, and see, and ask for the old paths, where is the good way, and walk therein, and ye shall find rest for your souls. But they said, We will not walk therein.
Jeremiah 6:16

  1. Voting itself isn’t even found in the Bible as their culture is different than ours is today.

My husband tells me every election to study each candidate & platform and study everything for myself, and then vote the wisest I can. He doesn’t want me to vote like him “just because”. He doesn’t want to tell me how to vote and he reminds me every election that he doesn’t. So I follow his wishes and Emily my freedom to study on my own and vote.

  2. I find women who blindly follow (or maybe not so blindly) feminism. The way they think its ok to lead a man on or give him mixed signals is disgusting. Picking fights or continuing them or giving the silent treatment is childish and pathetic. The mind boggles as to how it ever infiltrated the church. But i guess when you consider how much scripture has been watered down, its really no surprise i guess.

  3. There is no place I would rather be than at home in the kitchen with a baby on my hip and a loving husband to take care of!

  4. Yes, few Christians are biblically knowledgeable these days and this is why most churches are lukewarm. We are called to let the Word of God dwell in us richly and hide it in our hearts so we won’t sin against Him. It’s what transforms us and gives us wisdom for it is God’s Word.

  5. Thank you for sharing this, as it gives me much to pray and think about. I’d like to share some things about myself, and how I was raised. I’m curious as to what you think.

My parents brought up 4 children in a strong, conservative Christian home. Both of my parents worked, and it was their dream that all of us, their children, have a college education. I’m the only daughter, and as I was growing up, my parents educated us on the importance of studying all sides of an issue before making a decision. Although My dad was head of our home, my mom expected me to start dinner on the days she worked, and I was expected to clear the table, place the dishes in the dishwasher, and then, unload it when they were done. It didn’t matter if I had tons of homework, this was how I was raised, and I knew it was expected of me. I must admit, I didn’t exactly enjoy these chores at the time, however, as an adult, I’m glad she made me do this. My brothers had their chores as well. While I wholeheartedly agree that feminism is wrong, I have no regrets about obtaining my Bachelor’s degree, and my father cried years of joy as I walked across the stage to finally get that diploma.

My parents placed a VERY HIGH value on education, yet they also raised us to know right from wrong and to honor God in everything that we do. I attended a state university, and I also graduated from a public high school. I grew to be strong enough in my faith in Christ to “weed out” any lie that I may have been taught in both of these public institutions.

From the time I was a very little girl, I learned that I had to honor my father and mother as God commanded me to. And, there were definitely consequences for not doing so. I was also taught the importance of honoring God in ALL things, and once again, there were consequences for not doing so.

My dad, especially, VERY MUCH desired for me to get as much education as I possibly could. Ken and Lori, I was taught that women worked hard for the right to vote, and this was a right I had as an American. Due to my Christian beliefs, I voted the same way that my parents did, although it was expected of me that I study all sides of the issues before casting my vote.

Please know that I am in NO WAY disrespecting what you teaching. This is just the way that I was raised, and my parents truly “trained up their children in the way they should go…”

All of us are serving God as adults, along with our families.

  6. Yes, I wholeheartedly agree. I am a wife, stay at home mom of one child, teach children’s Sunday School and generally have all my daytime hours are completely filled with taking care of my family’s needs, their appointments as well as our house, large dog, 2 cats, yard and helping others who need it. We had our daughter late in life, so luckily I am blessed, thankful and content to be able to stay home and with a husband who supports this notion. It seems that feminists are somehow never content…”more” is always wanted.

  7. Hi Lori,

Thank you for your website and firm stance on what the Bible teaches. It’s clear from your posts that you love God and desire to obey his word (which is how he said we would show our love: “If you love me, keep my commandments.” John 14:15)

It is so refreshing to hear all the women on here talking/thinking biblically which is so antithetical to our culture. May God bless you for shining the light in darkness! Keep up the great work and keep encouraging others to follow Jesus.

  8. My dad set a high priority on education, too, so my sisters and I went to college and all received degrees. We definitely obeyed our parents. But my mom never went to college or had a career and he never wanted her to have one. This is how most of the men were back in their day and age but then my dad was influenced by feminism and felt that we needed to have an education “just in case.” Although, our education was cheap compared to what it is today so it wasn’t that big of a deal or loss. Nowadays, it’s outrageously expensive and can be a huge burden to have to pay off, thus preventing women from being able to have children and/or be home with them when they get married.

Who did those women “work so hard” against in order to vote? Men, because they thought they could make better decisions than men, but they don’t. If God used men to be the leaders in everything He ordained, why do we think women can now do better than men? Men are better at seeing the long term picture than women and unfortunately, too many women are voting as if the government were their husband (free birth control, free abortions, free medical care, free everything, if they had their way).

  9. Well said Lori! It’s amazing the negative impact feminism has had on *everything*. I appreciate you sharing the truth in love and with boldness!

  10. Hi Lori, I came across your article trough Pinterest. Thank you for the truth you have spoken. When I was young I felt In to the lie of feminism and it cause me a divorce, 3 broken children and a depression that never leaves. I have always believed in God,

But I never knew his word. I meet people like you that shines light in the darkness and everyday is a battle won. now I try to speak Gods truth to my children, the importance of staying home raising their children and respecting their husbands. Thank you for speaking the uncomfortable truth. God said we are to silently pursue our husbands to make the best decisions. Abraham Lincoln’s wife is a good example. He made many wise decisions that his wife influence. This is recognized in history. There is a saying behind every good man is a great woman. That is the way we were design to be. We were created to make men great behind the scenes. FYI I encourage my girls the importance of education and finish school before marriage. If they choose to be a wife before or after college I encourage them to be stay home mom’s and good stewards of there home. Thank you again.
