Free Abortions in California

Free Abortions in California

“California Gov. Gavin Newsom (D) has signed a bill requiring all public colleges and universities in the UC and CSU systems to provide free abortion medications to students who elect to have such treatment,” according to The Blaze. “Building on the state’s historic $100 million investment in reproductive health in the 2019-20 state budget, Governor Gavin Newsom today signed into law legislation expanding access to critical reproductive health care services.”

The release continued, “As other states and the federal government go backward, restricting reproductive freedom, in California we are moving forward, expanding access and reaffirming a woman’s right [to] choose. We’re removing barriers to reproductive health — increasing access on college campuses and using technology to modernize how patients interact with providers.”

Reproductive health? Reproductive freedom? The abortion pill is neither of these. They change the term from slaughtering one’s own baby to make it seem like some type of right and even freedom! Freedom for who? Healthy for whom? Certainly not for the millions of babies who have been murdered in their mothers’ wombs. And it isn’t free, Governor Newsom. Someone is paying for it but the Left doesn’t seem to understand this concept.

Did any of you see the movie Unplanned? I did and it was heartbreaking. They give abortion pills to women who aren’t far along in their pregnancy and tell them that it will be an easy process to remove the “cells” from their bodies. It’s not an easy process. It’s a dangerous process.

Here are the dangers from Planned Parenthood’s own site:

“What are the possible risks of taking the abortion pill? 1) the abortion pills don’t work and the pregnancy doesn’t end; 2)some of the pregnancy tissue is left in your uterus; 3) blood clots in your uterus; 3) bleeding too much or too long; 4) infection; 5) allergic reaction to one of the medicines.

Did you read the first risk? “The abortion pills don’t work and the pregnancy doesn’t end.” In other words, the abortion pills don’t work and your baby is still alive! How vile can they get? Everyone knows that it’s not a clump of cells but a baby from its conception. We’ve all come from an egg and sperm uniting into an embryo. Every single one of us.

Another site has this to say about the abortion pill: “Even with the FDA’s approved usage of Mifeprex and misoprostol, these drugs have proven extremely dangerous, painful, and even lethal. Women have died due to complications from these drugs – from heart attack, blood loss, and bacterial infection. Hundreds of women have been hospitalized. Thousands of women have needed blood transfusions.”

Does Governor Newsom or the other rabid pro-death, anti-child Left care about this? No. All they care about is letting women slaughter their babies in their womb. Their agenda is to destroy children. They want mothers to have careers and leave their children in the care of daycare and the public school system so they can tax the mothers and raise the children.

They scream “overpopulation” and make those who are having children feel guilty as if our God isn’t big enough to handle all the people on this earth. (Overpopulation is an absolute lie, women.) The are brainwashing children into thinking that climate change is destroying the world in order to make them not want to have children. Their entire agenda is anti-children and pro-death to everything that is good and right.

Lo, children are an heritage of the Lord: and the fruit of the womb is his reward. As arrows are in the hand of a mighty man; so are children of the youth. Happy is the man that hath his quiver full of them: they shall not be ashamed, but they shall speak with the enemies in the gate.
Psalm 127:3-5

  1. With regard to overpopulation, the book “The Population Bomb” was published in 1968 by Paul Ehrlich, which warned of massive overpopulation of the earth. The Earth was about 3.7 billion at that time, and life was thought to be unsustainable at that population. The world is now twice that population and is thriving in many ways from 1968.

    Why was Ehrlich so wrong?

He forgot to account for human ingenuity in his calculations, he didn’t see that our ability to adapt is greater than our inability to cope.

We are the wealthiest nation on Earth, we are the smartest as well, we can do amazing things.

Our problem is not a lack of resources or technology, it’s a lack of humanity.

Jesus told us, what would we gain if we got the whole world, but lost our soul in the process?

    America what have we gained?
So, we kill 3000 babies a day to save our economy, our careers. No! We are not saving anything, we are destroying everything.

Didn’t Charles Dickens “Mr. Scrooge” teach us anything at all. All that money and power, and no one to share it with.

What do these ladies think they will regret in old age, not having a degree, a career? No, they will regret killing their children, destroying their families, that is what they will regret.

  2. How sad it must be for any decent person living in California, now a virtual police state under the quise of progress.

  3. Hi Lori,
While I agree with you on this subject, there are some issues that I have always struggled with and I would like to get your perspective on this. What are your thoughts on ectopic pregnancy and how it should be treated? And another one, (and it’s been the hardest for me) is pregnant women with cancer that would have to wait to start therapy and would probably lose the time window to get treated. I personally lean towards the opinion that it would have to be something that a woman would have to decide but I would love to hear your opinion.

  4. The cost or lack of it is irrelevant abortion should simply not be an option in any circumstances.

  5. This policy is so dangerous and irresponsible even without considering that it is ending lives. I took one of those medications after a missed miscarriage (baby no longer had a heart beat) under the supervision of a doctor. Ended up in the ER and almost needed a blood transfusion. A friend in the same situation did require a blood transfusion and then surgery because medication didn’t even work for her.

I required multiple doctor visits and ultrasounds in addition to the ER trip to finish miscarriage of 11 week pregnancy. Fortunately my husband had stayed home to monitor or would have needed ambulance transport to ER. These medications shouldn’t be passed out like condoms or ibuprofen on campus. Not even to mention the physical pain the medication causes. It is similar to early or active labor.

  6. An ectopic pregnancy is not an abortion since the baby has zero chance of surviving in the Fallopian tube. All that could happen if it’s not removed is that the tube would burst and kill both mother and child. An embryo must be in a uterus in order to survive.

Concerning cancer, there’s a young mother I knew years ago that had this exact situation happen to her. She opted to do the treatments after the baby was born. A year later, she was holding that adorable baby in her arms with the rest of the family and stood in the front of church to tell us that her cancer had spread throughout her body. She died soon afterwards. There’s no guarantee that the cancer treatments will work but it must be the decision a wife and her husband makes in this case. What if a mother decides to abort her baby then dies soon any ways? It’s a very difficult situation to be put into.

  7. I was just wondering in the case for the ectopic pregnancy if there is a way to remove the baby early through surgery (not an abortion) and at least give the mother and baby a chance. I am by no means a medical expert but you would think that with all the advances we have made in the medical field that that there would be some way to have the baby.

  8. Unfortunately, the fallopian tube would rupture from the size of the baby before it was viable, usually between 6-16 weeks. We don’t have the technology to keep a baby alive that’s that young. ?

  9. You can indeed remove the baby and transfer it to the womb. It has worked 2-3 times. Most doctors don’t know about it or believe it and won’t give it a try. I didn’t learn about this possibility myself when I had my ectopic because no one told me and it was before widespread internet use. But the earliest case of removal and replanting that was successful was around 80 years ago. If human life were truly important to the medical community they would have perfected the process by now but instead we’re no further and still doing barbaric things.

  10. Gavin Newsom has four children.

It’s like what I always say…All the women of rich husbands are stay-at-home wives

Gavin’s wife is like several of my Hollywood friends…they make films blah blah using crowdfunding….But do they actually earn money? No. They spend it on their hobbies

Ignore what they say, watch what they do

  11. California is doomed anyway (take your pick: mega-earrthquake, mega-wildfires, tsunami, a new strain of Black Death plague resulting from the ongoing implosion of public hygiene standards, etc.), so this nonsense won’t continue for very long. I like to think of what awaits Commiefornia as being God’s warmup for what He’s going to mete out to the rest of this degenerate society.

  12. Overpopulation is not causing climate change. Its the major corporations releasing toxins into the armosphere and going unchecked. Most of our environmental issues can be primarily blamed on the same 4 companies.
