God Prepared Me For This Ministry

God Prepared Me For This Ministry

God prepared me for this ministry throughout my life, I believe. From First Grade through High School, I didn’t have any close friends. Girls were cruel to me. If I thought I had a close friend, she would turn around and slander me behind my back. My mom became my best friend since she was kind and encouraging to me during those difficult years.

When I married, I knew little about being a godly wife. I loved the Lord and His Word but for some reason, I never had learned about being a godly, submissive wife nor knew what that even looked like, so I made all of the mistakes that most women make in marriage. I can relate to them and try to help them understand that what they are doing is wrong. It’s tearing their homes down like I did instead of building their homes up.

Then when I was 30 years old, I because very sick and it lasted for 30 years. I am still not in great health due to my brain tumor but I am not bed-ridden and in horrible pain like I was for many years. Through suffering, you learn quickly that our flesh is frail and life on this earth isn’t all there is, thankfully. God molds us into His image through our sufferings. We don’t cling to this earth as we did before. Our minds are more on the heavenly than the earthly. Having almost died several times keeps one’s perspective clearer too.

People often write to me to encourage me because they see all the hate that is spewed at me on a continual basis. They want me to keep writing and not be discouraged. I will keep writing as long as I am able to do so and I am not discouraged! I think all of those years being treated so poorly by *friends* helped me to learn how to deal with backlash. I don’t allow it to steal my joy or my ministry. It’s a part of living in a wicked generation who hates truth.

Truth never comes back void. Young women today NEED the truths found only in God’s Word. They are lost and aimless. Many have written to me and told me that they used to “hate” what I write and would even mock me but now they love it. They have tasted of the LORD and seen that He is indeed good. God’s Truth produces beautiful fruit. Yes, there will always be many who hate God and His ways but greater is He who is in us than he who is in the world. They are being used Satan’s agents, and we must not fear them. For God has not given us a spirit of fear but of love and of power and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7).

The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
Titus 2:3-5

  1. Thank you for your minister Ms. Lori. I was one who disagree in some of your teachings but now I love the ways of the Lord

  2. Love reading your post this morning. I too had the same problem with “friends” The Lord has been my strength through the years and a friend like I have never had before. He said he would never leave or forsake us and I have found this to be true. Keep shining the light for Jesus through this sinful world. If we are not a light for Jesus and they cannot see him in our lives , then How will they want to know him and be saved ?

    Matthew 5:16
Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.

  3. God bless you Lori for your ministry! Your love for Jesus, boldness, courage, & willingness to speak truth are encouraging. As our pastor says – “Don’t be worried about what people think. They don’t have a heaven to put you in”. My kids are 19 & 22 now. Thankfully, they both know Jesus. While I wish I would’ve had this teaching in their younger years & would’ve done some things differently, I realize that it’s not too late. We can continue to be that Godly influence in their lives. God is so good!

  4. Hi Lori,I am too one of them that had disagreements with your blog, but now I absolutely love it and I am thankful for it.Lords ways are indeed the best, thank you again for being brave to speak the truth in these days, wishing you and your family all the best.

  5. Thank you, Eva. I am so thankful that truth doesn’t come back void! His Word is so powerful and He is only one powerful enough to convict and change people.

  6. That’s for sure, SLP! My children have seen a great change in me just since being convicted about biblical womanhood 15 years ago after they were all grown up. Thankfully, it’s never to late to learn and change for the good with God’s power working mightily within us.

  7. I will never share all your beliefs Lori, and some of the comments I read on here absolutely infuriate me because they are so wrong, but there is a lot of truth to be found here as well.

I struggle often with whether or not to continue reading here because I disagree with some of it, but I keep being drawn back. I have looked, but I haven’t found anywhere else on the Internet that teaches biblical womanhood so well. I am grateful for your ministry, Lori. It helps me lots. I’m learning to just ignore the things I don’t believe to be true and focus instead on the good that is found here.

  8. Please explain how certain things you read are not “true” and in the same sentence you continue to focus on the “good” that is found here? The truth is good; your statement confirms your deep rebellion. Let go of your rebellion and you will see the truth.

  9. Hi Lori,

I just came across your site for the first time today. Your post here really touched me.

I am so sorry that you had those negative experiences with girl friends earlier on. But I will say this – I am deeply impressed by your Godly devotion and your willingness to discuss hard topics.

I pray that God blesses you and helps you with your health treatments. Thank you for your many articles – they have really helped!

  10. Some things on here (especially in the comments section) are not true. Read through them and you will see.
The “good” on here is what Lori posts (the differences in our beliefs are very minor and are not salvation issues – such as birth control) and some of the absolute gems that are found in some of the comments. Like Karla’s above.

  11. This is one of the reasons I continue to struggle with this blog: “The truth is good; your statement confirms your deep rebellion.”

Why do some people think they have the right to jump to (wrong) conclusions and judge people? Is that how some people think they lead people to Jesus?

  12. So thankful to have found you Lori! Your ministry has blessed me greatly. Bless you for taking the Titus 2 woman role so seriously.

  13. This warms my heart that many of us now have seen real truth from a Godly woman. If I didn’t find this blog my children would not have the solid foundation of my service to them and my husband. I had to learn and I’m still learning, but I #1 WATCH MY TONE WATCH MY TONE WATCH MY TONE and just zip it up sometimes. peace in our home is #1 and I had to learn God’s ways!
