The Nomination of Amy Coney Barrett

The Nomination of Amy Coney Barrett

President Trump nominated Amy Coney Barret to the Supreme Court of America on Saturday. The many pro-life conservatives are extremely excited. I am a pro-life conservative. I want a judge like her who loves America and the Constitution. However, I am sad that she will be unavailable for her seven children. The job that she will most likely have is time-consuming and will keep her away from home a lot.

Yes, I want a pro-life conservative on the Supreme Court. Yes, I am happy that Amy is one, but her children only have one mother. There are many other pro-life conservative judges that would make great Supreme Court judges. However, I am concerned about a man ever being nominated to the court again after watching the treatment of Clarence Thomas and Brett Kavanaugh.

The Left will make up all types of stories of sexual assault/harassment/rape for any conservative male nominated to the court. In this way, they will be able to put and keep women in control. Their slogan “The Future is Female” is what they want. Of course, they will do everything in their power to destroy Amy Coney Barret’s character, since they are Satan’s agents whose goal is to kill, steal, and destroy. We must pray for her and her family.

What about Judge Deborah in the Bible? We are told nothing about her age or even if she had children. This was a unique circumstance in the entire Old Testament and was not God’s ideal; for He tells us: “As for my people, children are their oppressors, and women rule over them. O my people, they which lead thee cause thee to err, and destroy the way of thy paths” (Isaiah 3:12). Our God is a Patriarchal God who ordained men to be the ones in authority. This isn’t popular in our day and age but for believers in Jesus Christ, it should be for us.

Amy will hopefully be a wonderful Supreme Court Justice. She is the complete opposite of Ruth Bader Ginsberg which is great, but it’s an indication where our country is headed. She was praised for being the first Supreme Court Justice who had school age children. This grieved me. They will miss her constant influence in their lives, since no on will be able to take her place in their lives. Also, her husband must fill the role of help meet to her instead of her being his help meet.

God commands that I teach women to be keepers at home because this is the best place for women to be. I will never compromise with this since in doing so, I would be compromising with God’s clear command. I won’t do that. As Marcus tweeted: “As much as I think that ACB is a great pick for #SCOTUS, I still believe that women judges are not God’s preferred choice. Deborah only led because Barak refused to and his glory went to a woman.

“No office is higher than that of a mother.”

I will therefore that the younger women marry, bear children, guide the house, give none occasion to the adversary to speak reproachfully.

  1. I was glad to hear she used what little time she had to be a mum. But in reality it wouldn’t be as much as she could be doing in the home and there will be consequences.

  2. Yeah love that she is conservative and was a good pick but ultimately this a win for the enemy. She is out of the home and yes looks like her husband will be her help meet instead of her being his sadly. Its a reason why God gave leadership/authoritative positions to men.

  3. What is sad is that so many don’t care about her children and think she can do it all and that we need to support woman or other things. Many don’t understand that you cant do it all and that God says clearly in his Word what He want that women do but even christians dismiss His Word.

  4. Her personal sacrifices are just that – sacrifices. I pray they will benefit the many who will be affected by the decisions to come.

And I pray for her as she faces the forces of evil aligned against her.

  5. Amy will hopefully be a wonderful Supreme Court Justice.

Doubtful. Not only should she as a woman not be on the bench, but how many supposedly “conservative” judges have Republican presidents appointed to the SCOTUS over the last several decades who, once on the bench, did a complete 180-degree turn? The answer to that is “the overwhelming majority of them,” with the current Chief Justice being the most notorious example.

Why does this happen? Because ALL of these people are in some way seriously compromised, which is why they’re appointed to the SCOTUS in the first place. Those who control the court are not about to allow the appointment of a genuine strict Constitutionalist free of personal baggage who will work to check the runaway state’s power. Amy Coney Barret is certainly no exception to this rule. There is without doubt something in her personal or professional background that will be used to bring her to heel should she ever dare to be in a position to make a decision contrary to the Deep State’s interests (this explains Chief Justice Roberts’ Constitutionally inexcusable Obamacare ruling several years ago).

Ultimately it doesn’t really matter in the long run what Amy Coney Barret or anyone else on the SCOTUS says or does. The United States is on the verge of imminent and unavoidable breakup, so the legal posturings of the Unaccountable Nine will soon be little more than the historical legal artifacts of a defunct nation (although remnants of them might be preserved by one of the political entities to emerge out of the ashes and rubble of the former USA).

  6. I feel the same way about her nomination. I told my husband that I love that the nominee is a pro life conservative, but I think it’s more important for her to be a mom to that lovely brood of hers. They need her.

I also feel they’re going to attack her on whatever they can. And, if the nominee had been a man, numerous women would come forward with tales of PTSD, gnashing of the teeth, all of them possibly liars but “doing it for the greater good” in their minds.

Since I have no choice in the matter, my job is to simply pray for all involved and let God’s will be done.

  7. The Catholic Church opposes the Border Wall and favors easy immigration and the naturalization of people living here illegally. It wants welfare and food stamps programs to be expanded. It wants universal health care. It is in favor of government funded daycare from birth on. It supports a national living wage. I don’t know where Amy Coney Barrett stands on any of these issues, but there are many reasons why so many Catholics vote Democrat. Just because she is pro-life does not mean she is “conservative.”

  8. Quote – “Because ALL of these people are in some way seriously compromised”

    So true.

Quote – “The United States is on the verge of imminent and unavoidable breakup”

    Sadly, I see this happening.
The majority of this nation have turned their backs on God.
    Good is now evil
    And evil is now good.

Because of our massive sin God is pouring His righteous judgment on us.
God is turning the men into soy boys
God is turning the women over to their reprobate mind and they are becoming feminist and harlots.

  9. I am not sure how I feel about this article. The reality is we dont know if Barrett will travel alone or with her entire family. We dont know if she conducts her business electronically, as so many do at this time.

I dont believe that Barrett will sacrifice her quality time but will maximize her time to continue to guide her family and serve her country. Hopefully, the government will allow her to involve her family with as much as possible and, if not, shame on them.

  10. Exactly what I was thinking. I was dismayed to hear how young her children are. Was wondering how much time she could spend with her children and if at the end of her life she will regret all the time away. But perhaps she will be working from home quite a bit during the two week recesses? But working from home is still not attending to the home and people. I believe she will have summers off, though, like teachers.

I’m wondering if they overturn Roe, would it revert back to the states, and we would have abortion and nonabortion states? Or would it mean the end of abortion completely?

And another lawyer mentioned that she sided with giving the governor unlimited power during the lockdown, and to me that infringed on our constitutional rights, so I also wonder if we really know enough about her. I liked Lagoa.

  11. Personally, I have a real problem with the term “quality time.” To me, it sounds like a cop out for women who would rather have a career/play tennis/shop then be at home with their children where they belong. Any time you spend with your children is “quality time.” And when it comes to your kids, it is definitely quantity over anything else. I read something over twenty years ago that said: “Children spell L-O-V-E as T-I-M-E not T-O-Y-S.” It was saying that children want their mom, not all the great toys/gadgets she can buy them because of her job. As a mom of 6, I can say that my kids love knowing I am always here, even when they are not.

  12. She’s more on the anti-immigration side of things…although you really can’t trust anyone in high government positions

    Here’s my examples….(a copied comment)

I was afraid Amy Coney Barrett would be all about abortion and liberal on everything else like immigration, but her record on immigration so far has been good. She sided with Trump on the no greencard for welfare recipients case, and sided with the US consulate when they denied spousal visa to an African immigrant who claimed US violated his “constitutional rights”, and also denied him the right to appeal. She also sided with Autozone in a civil rights suit where Autozone assigned black employees to black dominant neighborhoods and was sued for racial discrimination.

Don’t let the current Pope (who many Catholics hate including ex-Popes) make you think that’s how all Catholics think

The Catholic Church has chosen wrong in regards to their stance on many things…But then again, look at the Protestant churches

All big box churches are just plain wrong right now

Best thing to do is join a Catholic Church and push your anti-immigrant positions on them from the ground up.

Take back an institution that is rightfully ours

  13. “I’m wondering if they overturn Roe, would it revert back to the states, and we would have abortion and nonabortion states? Or would it mean the end of abortion completely?”

Firstly, The SCOTUS will not reverse itself on Roe v. Wade. Even if it does, abortion rights will go back to the individual states, so the abortion industry will continue to thrive in Blue states and decrease in Red states. Unfortunately, I’m pretty sure abortion is here to stay.

I’m much more interested on her views of gay marriage, and the whole perverted mess that is the LGBTQ+ community. These are the people that are destroying the fabric of our society and the nuclear family. They must be stopped.

  14. “Best thing to do is join a Catholic Church and push your anti-immigrant positions on them from the ground up.”
I’m not sure where you got the idea that the Catholic Church is a democracy, but I assure you that is not the case.

  15. My first thought when I saw her large family was “so who is the woman who is taking care of her children?” There is a lie that continues to be presented that a woman really can “do it all” but they never share about all the other people being hired to fill various roles. I remember hearing an interview with an ABC executive and she was very open and honest about who helps her with the kids, cleaning, meals etc… I appreciated that she didn’t try to hide this woman.

  16. This post is very well thought out and very well written. I would, however, like to respond to one point, though not a point made by the writer herself.
At the end of the post Lori says that Deborah only led because Barak refused to, causing his glory to go instead to a woman. With all due respect, this is an erroneous statement.
Deborah was a prophetess and a judge. Barak’s role in the battle was as the military leader. They were both leaders in the fight for the freedom of their area and tribe, but they were leaders in different ways, having completely separate leadership roles. Deborah is the prophetess, the, for lack of a better term, ‘spiritual’ leader; while Barak was the general, the military leader. Deborah does say that Barak’s hesitation and insistence on Deborah going along for the fight would be returned by his not getting the glory of the victory, ‘for into the hand of a woman will the Lord deliver Sisera’. Most scholars believe that this refers not to Deborah, but to Yael, who actually killed Sisera, the enemy general. Even if it refered to Deborah, which, again, is not common interpretation, she did not receive her leadership role because of Barak’s refusal. Her leadership position and role as judge and prophetess was in place before the battle took place. After the battle Deborah and Barak led their tribe together, but prior to that their roles were independent, and if one of them in any way relied on the other, it was Barak relying on Deborah, not the other way around.

Thank you for your insightful blog. God bless you, and help you continue to spread the truth
