There’s a great problem with the way girls and women are dressing these days. I see teenage girls wearing short shorts with their butts hanging out and crop tops with half of their breasts showing. Thongs are common at the beaches now. They look naked from the back. Many women and girls have zero problems with being practically naked in public. Do they even realize what this does to guys of all ages after puberty???

These girls and women are promoting the pornification of our culture. Guys get turned on when they see practically naked women. This is a fact! My grandma taught us that we couldn’t wear bikinis on her dock because it causes pregnancy. She was right! Lingerie is used to seduce men. Bikinis are no different. When guys see this all around, it can cause them to seek out porn. OnlyFans and TikTok are full of women whose goal is to turn guys on. It’s tragic.

“And, behold, there met him a woman with the attire of an harlot, and subtil of heart. She is loud and stubborn; her feet abide not in her house: Now is she without, now in the streets, and lieth in wait at every corner.” (Proverbs 7:10-12) Our nation is full of harlots. Train your daughters not to be one.

How do we do this when they want to fit in with their peers, and their peers dress worldly? You must teach them why God commands them to be modest and shamefaced (not to draw attention to themselves). Teach them that guys will look at them only as objects of their lusts if they dress immodestly. Do they want that? Or do they want to be valued as a young woman with dignity?

Remind them that we travel on a narrow path that leads to life that few want to walk on, that Satan is the prince of the power of the air, that God calls them to be holy and set apart, and whatever they do, they are to bring glory to the Lord, not themselves. They need to be examples of holiness and godliness to a lost and dying world. In this way, they are storing their treasures in heaven. Have them memorize Romans 12:1,2. We are to be transformed by renewing our minds with truth, and not to be conformed to this world. Pray diligently for your daughters. Read Proverbs chapters one through seven to your sons so they understand the destruction of harlots and their ways.

Let not thine heart decline to her ways, go not astray in her paths. For she hath cast down many wounded: yea, many strong men have been slain by her. Her house is the way to hell, going down to the chambers of death.
