  1. As always, very good, Lori
Father, may the women of this world, especially those in the body of Christ, hear your voice, not have a spirit of fear and come away from the ways of the world and Satan’s lies. Let them see the true freedom only comes in following you and your ways.
    Amen

  2. I agree that women are easily discontent. I have a lovely earthly life with the promises of heaven awaiting me and God’s Holy Spirit in me and I still battle discontentment! I daily have to renew my mind in God’s Word. Perhaps this is another reason Eve was easily tempted- not only was she easily deceived, but she was also discontent? On a side note, I think if women realized how content men naturally are, they would stop fretting about vain things.

  3. I’m content being a wife and mother even though my girls are all grown up. I recently(yesterday as a matter of fact!) how some women actually feel about being at home when several women complained( maybe whined is a better word) about a certain Christian wife wearing a t-shirt with the word ” wifey” written on it. These same women wouldn’t bat an eye if they called their husbands ” hubby “.
When did all this change? Have I missed something as to when “wifey” became insulting?

  4. I love “Wifey”! I might just embroider that on the bib of my next apron!

  5. This is a great article, Lori. Thank you for sharing and confirming God’s truths that combat the lies we woman deal with often in our culture.

  6. Excellent perspective on this important topic.

If you are discontent with the role God has given you, you are effectively stating that your father is now Satan. You have enlisted as an apostle of Satan.

Eve answered the question “Hath God said?” with an resounding “No, He has not said” and thereby joined the Dark side, choosing death for herself …and those around her.

  7. My hubby calls me ‘Wifey’.
He also calls me “wench” as a term of endearment. I prefer “wifey”.

  8. I just read this verse this morning …think of the PRINCIPLE here, although applied in another application:

“Do violence to no man, neither accuse any falsely, and be content with your wages [your position]” …the words of John in Luke 3:14.

Wives have done violence to their man, accusing him falsely in many ways, and DISCONTENT with her position, her recognition, her wealth and ease.
