Sheila Gregoire is a False Teacher
Sheila Gregoire from “To Love, Honor, and Vacuum” seems to be finding joy in rewriting what godly men have written about marriage.
She shared this one recently. She must not understand what Ephesians 5 has to say about this:
25 Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it;
26 That he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word,
27 That he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having spot, or wrinkle, or any such thing; but that it should be holy and without blemish.
When someone asked her about this, she said that husbands aren’t Jesus. Jesus is the one who placed husbands as the head of their wives and their spiritual leader. He gave them this authority! They have not only the right but the responsibility to lovingly correct their wives. Do wives have the same right? No. Their instructions are in 1 Peter 3:1,2. They are to win their husbands without the word by living in subjection with godly behavior. Does Sheila ever teach this? No.
Wives are to focus upon serving their husbands and living in submission to them, not focused on whether or not their husbands are serving them. They have no control over their husbands and when they try, they are tearing their homes down. We are only responsible for our own behavior before the Lord, not our husband’s.
Sheila teaches the exact opposite of what Scripture teaches to women. She doesn’t believe in wives submitting to their husbands nor does she believe in wives winning their husbands through their transformed lives.
“Oh, but she’s helped me with my sex life!” God cares far more about you learning Truth, women, than He does about your sex life. Every book in the NT warns against false teachers except one. Go to a godly, older woman if you are having problems with your sex life. One who will teach you Truth, not lies. You will one day give account for your life before God, not how good your sex life was. He wants you to live in obedience to Him despite the trials and sufferings in your life and regardless of whether or not you had a great sex life. God cares about Truth, His Truth. His unchanging Word and so wh.
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears.
