Why Women Become Addicted to P0rn
Far more men than women are addicted to porn. They are more visual than women. I have never watched another man and woman have sex together, not on TV, in movies, or in porn. I have zero desire to do so. In fact, it repulses me. I began wondering what has caused women to become addicted to it. I asked the women on my Instagram, and I will share some of them here.
“I forced myself to watch it once because I couldn’t understand what was wrong with me being so upset and disgusted by it when every woman I confided in would tell me it was normal. They even watched it. They didn’t mind their husbands watching it and made be feel abnormal and a prude. It’s only now that I realize I am normal for feeling sick at it.”
“Being exposed to it at a young age, and all my friends back in high school talked about it.”
“I am no longer a slave, but I was exposed to playboy at a young age and abused by my stepfather.”
“It was something I saw at a young age out of curiosity and on accident. Curiosity is what kept it going. Then, it became an addiction. This happened when I was about 12. Thankfully, God helped me break it, and I don’t have the desire to see it anymore! However, what you have seen never leaves.”
“Being touched at an early age. Wanting a boy to like me as a teen and hearing culture say it’s okay.”
“I grew up in a toxic non-Christian household. I was sexually abused and shown porn as a child.”
“Reading romance books at an early age.”
“Childhood friend introduced me. I wish I could go back, but I am healed now.
“I didn’t even know what porn existed until I discovered it after marriage on my husband’s phone, and out of curiosity, I looked it up. That’s when I began struggling with it on and off for nine months. I was so disgusted by it that one day, I asked the Lord if I ever watched another porn video to kill me because if I wanted to indulge in such satanic evil, then I did not deserve to live. That was ten years ago.”
“Unfortunately, when I was exposed to it at a young age, I began to desire it. I repented and asked God to completely take away that desire and show me how dangerous and destructive it was. He was faithful to do so. Praise God!”
“Never. But also wanted to add, the thought of using toys sickens me as well. My husband is all I desire.” Amen!
“I was sexually abused as a child. Five years ago, I got married and the Lord freed me from porn.”
“Finding Playboys in my dad’s closet and looking through them. Finding and reading my mom’s Harlequin novels.”
“Too much internet access and freedom to it at a young and impressionable age.”
“Curiosity as a tween because my parents didn’t teach me about sex in a healthy way.”
There were so many more. The common theme was being exposed to it at a young age, being sexually abused, curiosity and free access to the Internet. THIS is why it’s vital that mothers be home with their children full time. If they aren’t they blaspheme God’s Word. How? They leave their children unprotected from Satan and his wiles to destroy them. There are many in our culture whose aim is to harm children. Mothers, you need to be home with them and monitoring what they see, hear, and who they are around. Keep their innocence as long as possible! Make sure they clearly know the devastation of porn and what it does to them.
Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are honest, whatsoever things are just, whatsoever things are pure, whatsoever things are lovely, whatsoever things are of good report; if there be any virtue, and if there be any praise, think on these things.
