Perilous Times Shall Come
“This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves…” (2 Timothy 3:1). I believe those perilous times are here. Many are teaching women to love themselves. They NEED to learn to love themselves. This will cure them of all of their woes, so they claim. How does loving ourselves help us at all? God never commands that we love ourselves. The two greatest commands are to love Him and love others. When we’re busy loving Him and others, we won’t worry one bit about loving ourselves. Knowing God loves us is all we need!
“…without natural affection…” We can clearly see this with the millions of mothers who go in to have their babies ripped apart and murdered in their wombs. We can also see this if they give birth to their babies, many have no natural affection for their babies and children, so they send them off for others to raise. They love their pets rather than their own babies and children.
“…despisers of those that are good…” This is our nation today. Those who love the Lord and His ways are mocked and ridiculed. Those who hate God will hate those who love Him and speak truth; for we expose their wickedness. They want to revel in their debauchery and have others not only affirm what they do but celebrate it.
“Lead captive silly women laden with sins…” These who hate God can easily take silly women captive to their debauchery since these women are dwelling upon the TV shows like “This is Us” and are not dwelling on the good, the lovely, and the pure as God commands. They are taken away with vain imaginations instead of taking every thought captive to the obedience of Christ.
“Ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.” They may go to church and Bible studies. They may even attend Women’s conferences but they are only learning from false female preachers such as Beth Moore and Priscilla Shirer. These women don’t study the Word. They aren’t in a church where the male pastor teaches Truth boldly and unashamedly so they are easily led astray by the feel-good false gospel which is not the Gospel at all.
What’s the solution to not falling prey to all of this? “But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them; And that from a child thou hast known the holy scriptures which are able to make thee wise unto salvation through faith which is in Christ Jesus. All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness; That the man of God may be perfect, thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” (2 Timothy 3:15-17)
Grow in the wisdom and the knowledge of the Lord, women. In this way, you will be walking in the Spirit with the full armor of the Lord prepared for the battle that is being waged in the heavenlies for the souls of men.
