Stick to Teaching Biblical Womanhood, Older Women
This is the book that began the transformation in my marriage almost 25 years ago. It’s worn and tattered from reading it so many times, and it’s the book I used to mentor many women. The only doctrine Debi teaches in this book is that of biblical womanhood.
I attended Women’s Bible Studies and conferences for 30 years or so. Not once was I taught the doctrine of biblical womanhood. Once I read this book, I began teaching women in small groups in homes and then one-on-one. Women were hungry for this teaching. I tried teaching it in two churches nearby but I was forbidden since the women in leadership told me that teaching women to submit to their husbands causes abuse and teaching women to be keepers at home would offend career women.
Yes, older women, you can teach biblical womanhood to young women without teaching them other doctrines. Point them to a biblical church to learn all of the other doctrines from biblically qualified pastors who are men. From Scripture, this is what God commands.
Women write me daily and thank me for teaching this. They had never been taught it in any church or Women’s Bible study either. This is why most Christian marriages look no different than the world.
The aged women likewise, that they be in behaviour as becometh holiness, not false accusers, not given to much wine, teachers of good things; That they may teach the young women to be sober, to love their husbands, to love their children, To be discreet, chaste, keepers at home, good, obedient to their own husbands, that the word of God be not blasphemed.
