According to the New York Times feminists lost with this last election and the entire piece was trying to figure out why. These sentences caught my eye: “You didn’t hear explicit calls for women to stay at home and be subservient to men, although it’s an open question how many Americans are receptive to questioning traditional gender roles. Many who care about the place of women in American society are gripped by fears that men will have a free pass to demean women at home or in the workplace, that women’s health, economic society and reproductive rights will be dealt severe blows.”
Have you noticed those who are are opposed to biblical roles for women use the word subservient instead of submissive? Subservient means “prepared to obey others unquestioningly, less important; subordinate, and serving as a means to an end.” Do you see how the enemy of God carefully takes the words God uses and twists them enough to kind of say the same thing but make them sinister and evil? This word change, in my opinion, comes from the pit of hell.
Submission is a willing choice by a godly wife who loves the Lord and desires to obey Him in all that she does. She allows her husband to lead while she follows and yes, she does obey him but can question him if she feels the need. However, she leaves the choice to her husband and doesn’t argue the point with him because she trusts that God’s ways are the very best for her. In following them, there are blessings. Yet, feminists will be subservient to bosses. They will obey them unquestioningly or else they will lose their job. They aren’t as important as their boss since their boss controls everything and is the one to pay them, whereas our husbands share what they make and have with us willingly. Feminists are serving as a means to an end; they are working for money and for accolades. They can’t see the plank in their own eyes.
Coming back to the comment in the article, do you see how irrational the fears are that they portray? They fear men will have a free pass to demean women at home and in the workplace! Feminists still are in control of the Universities and the media. It’s not feminists who have kept women from being demeaned. In fact, it has grown worse in this country as feminism becomes more influential and society gets farther and farther away from God’s principles. When men are taught biblical principles of kindness, godliness, and love of others is when they do not demean women. There’s nothing feminism can do (making laws) to stop men from demeaning women. As a society spirals into depravity, the worse men and women become. Feminism is a huge part of this downfall.
A nation can’t murder 58 million of its babies and expect life, any life, will be valued. If women are willing to allow their babies in their wombs to be murdered, what makes them think they will be respected by men? If they want to act like men, take over men’s jobs, and stop being women, why would men value women more? They value them less. God is who gives women value. When they want to get rid of God, women lose value. Men value feminine women who act like women. They like soft and gentle women who love to cook for them, take care of their homes, don’t nag them, and please them sexually.
Women’s health, economic society and reproductive rights have been “dealt a severe blow”? I sure hope abortions are stopped since they are murder and the women’s health and reproductive rights they speak about simply mean the right to free abortions and birth control. As you can see from the article, the new feminists want socialism which causes apathy since there is no reward for working hard. Contrary to the popular opinion of feminists, competition is good, especially for men. Men thrive in competition and weaken when it is taken away. No, feminists, these probably haven’t been dealt a severe blow, unfortunately, unless there is a revival in this country. Your agenda is alive and well since Satan is the prince of the power of the air. It is an evil agenda that is far from the heart of the Lord.
For the wisdom of this world is foolishness with God. For it is written, He takes the wise in their own craftiness.
