Welcome to My New Blog

Always Learning has been my blog since February of 2011 and I felt it was time to have a change with my book being published. I love the name The Transformed Wife because I frequently write about the verse in the Bible that tells us to be transformed by renewing our minds with Truth. Once we believe in Jesus Christ, we are a new creature in Him, filled with His Spirit, and transformed as we spend time in His Word allowing it to transform us into His image.

Women today are lost and floundering being raised with a feminist mindset for all of their lives. They have no idea what it means to love their husbands until death do they part. They believe with everything in them that they love their children but do they love them enough to discipline them and teach them self-control? Are they sober? Do they even understand what it means besides not drinking too much? Do they act and dress modestly understanding how this affects men and not wanting to be a stumbling block to them in any way? Do they know what goodness means anymore since evil is prevailing in our nation? I know for a fact that most younger women have no idea what being a keeper at home means and it repulses them when they think they should obey their husbands. “This will most certainly lead to abuse,” they surmise.

Once they begin practicing Titus 2:3-4, however, something beautiful begins to happen. They begin reaping the blessings of living God’s ways instead of their own. Their husbands begin to respond to their kindness and gentleness in good ways. They stop arguing and instead begin enjoying each other. Beauty comes out of obeying the Lord and not ugliness, as the world would have them believe. They begin to enjoy their children as their children start obeying them and aren’t fighting anymore. God is a God of peace and peace should reign in godly homes. Everyone is searching for peace and the answer is in Jesus.

I have worked for months on my new book called The Power of a Transformed Wife with the help of many. It was definitely a labor of love and as a ministry for the many women who are searching to find the answers to their many questions about their marriage, raising their children, and being a homemaker. TheJoyFilledWife, a woman who has followed my blog for a long time and has even written some posts, read my book and said this about it:

“Most women grow up in households where they are under-prepared to serve and over-prepared to lead. We’ve been sold a bill of goods and, as a result, we’ve been left with the remnant of destroyed marriages and devastated families. This book is unique in that it fills a significant void for the many women out there who were raised to care more about their rights than their responsibilities. Reading through your story, I felt as though I was learning the important life lessons my own mother should have taught me growing up. If only her mother would have taught her, and her own mother before her…

Lori, I can’t thank you enough for having the wisdom and humility to share your priceless story of struggle and triumph with the millions of women out there who have all but given up hope of ever turning their marriage around. Sometimes the biggest battle we face is the uncertainty of how to take the first step toward restoration. I love that you meet your reader right where she’s at, take her by the hand, and in your wonderfully simple and straightforward way, walk her through the rubble and show her how Jesus can put the pieces of her marriage back together and transform it into something more beautiful than she could have ever imagined. Thank you for being willing to leave footprints in the sand for those of us behind you who have mustered the courage to venture the same journey.”

My book begins with a long chapter about my long and complicated life story. Because I write short posts on my blog, those who have read it regularly get bits and pieces of it but have never read it completely pieced together. After this chapter, I write all the secrets I have found to having a great marriage, raising godly children, being a keeper at home, and everything else having to do with being a wife and mother. It wasn’t easy for me because I could have written my book in a few hours since I am not a detailed writer as most of you know. From those who have read it, they have told me they enjoyed it, learned from it, and it was an easy read. Most have told me they have women they know that should read it! You can buy the book through Amazon in book form but will be in the kindle version soon.

Ken and I pray that the Lord will use this book for His glory and His alone. As you know, I don’t advertise on my blog and have never done this for money. I didn’t write this book to get a ton of money from it or to be famous. I have no desire for either. I only want to help as many women as I can in the short years the Lord has given me. May those of you who buy it be blessed by it and may it minister to you, especially if you weren’t raised with a godly mother.

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind,

so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.

  1. Congratulations Lori! I was blessed to be raised by a godly mother and I plan to purchase your book so that I may pass it down to my future daughters-in-law one day. I have many years to go yet, but I’ve already been praying for my sons’ wives. I have learned a lot!

  14. Thank you Kelley! I thought I would be writing on Always Learning as long as the Lord gave me the ability to write also but I decided it was time for a change, especially with my book coming out and my daughter being able to use the front of my book to decorate my blog with. Blessings!

  15. My hearts desire is to mentor young women. I am only 40 and still raising young ones so I still have some time to learn but your blogs certainly do help and highlight very important scriptures that we need to be teaching to raise healthy children and have a godly remnant in the society we live in. Beautiful new blog! God bless !

  16. Oh Lori, I am so happy and proud of you for being an example of how to be a woman after God’s own heart! Truth is not popular, and it may not seem easy, but when we do the right thing God will cover us with blessings and strength. This life is not easy, but when we do right and love our husbands, we fulfill a truly God honoring destiny.
May your book be a bestseller, so many copies will be in the hands and hearts of women that want to bring love and life into their marriages and their homes that will fill their children’s hearts.
    Always, Roxy

  17. Hi Lori!
How beautiful is your new blog! Your daughter did a nice work with the visual aspect! Did the delicate painting is from someone in your family? Thanks for pursuing your ministry! And how is your Mom? Love, Daniele

  18. I recently found out that a close family friend is an atheist, I am shocked as she is such a good, caring, loving wife, mother and friend. I am trying to raise my children to be godly and wonder if I should allow them to still have a relationship with her and her family. I have prayed about what to do and cannot find an answer I have tried to witness to her and show her the truth and glory of God but I feel I can’t get through to her. I am heartbroken about it.
