THIS is Marriage the Way God Intended

THIS is Marriage the Way God Intended

Many want to redefine marriage these days. Some will argue that marriage isn’t just a piece of paper, so they fornicate and live with someone thinking that this is okay. It’s not. Marriage is a holy institution designed by God Almighty. It’s what makes strong families and strong nations. As families fall, so do nations as we are witnessing in our once great nation.

Here’s God’s definition of marriage: “Have ye not read, that he which made them at the beginning made them male and female, And said, For this cause shall a man leave father and mother, and shall cleave to his wife: and they twain shall be one flesh? Wherefore they are no more twain, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put asunder.” (Matthew 19:4-6)

Ken and I married almost 41 years ago. Here is a song that was sung at our wedding. It describes God’s perfect plan for marriage. You can listen to Alan Jackson sing it HERE.

With this ring I thee wed
And I give to you my life
Mine is yours and yours is mine
And we can live that way forever
With this kiss we will seal
That we now are man and wife
Two in one, one in two
That’s the way it’s got to be

With this love we can live
We can’t keep it to ourselves
He is mine, He is yours
We can live our lives in telling
I give my heart, I give my soul
I give you all my worldly goods
Two in one, one in two
That’s the way it’s got to be

I will cling to you, you will cling to me
And in the shadow of the cross we’ll live on bended knee

With this prayer I commit
That we both become as one
He in us, we in Him
Saying vows to one another
Hold them fast in your heart
Till the day we see the Son
Two in one, one in two
That’s the way it’s got to be

I will cling to you, you will cling to me
And in the shadow of the cross we’ll live on bended knee

With this prayer I commit
That we both become as one
He in us, we in Him
Saying vows to one another
Hold them fast in your heart
Till the day we see the Son
Two in one, one in two
That’s the way it’s got to be
Two in one, one in two
That’s the way it’s got to be

That’s the way it’s got to be
That’s the way it’s got to be

Marriage is not fornicating and living together. It’s a commitment for life between a man and a woman. It’s a love that bears all things, hopes all things, endures all things, and never fails. It’s becoming husband and wife, one flesh. It’s a mystery, but it’s good since it was created by our Creator. It’s worth saving yourself for, young women. It’s an incredible blessing growing old with one man, sharing children together, and now grandchildren. The blessings are abundant!

Marriage is honourable in all, and the bed undefiled: but whoremongers and adulterers God will judge.
Hebrews 13:4

  1. Great post, sorely needed in an America brainwashed to overwhelmingly reject confining sex in heterosexual marriage, and you have as many children as they can in marriage.

    The shocking results are jaw dropping. In 1940, 3% of children were born out of wedlock, and today, 40% are, including 75% in the black community due to the Communist infiltration of the black community with the “Civil Rights” movement. In 1958, the female fertility rate was 3.8 kids per woman in America , and today it’s at a miserable 1.7, well below the replacement birth rate of 2.1, and a pathetic distant second to Islam’s 3.1.

    “Th’ expense of spirit in a waste of shame
    Is lust in action; and till action, lust
    Is perjured, murderous, bloody, full of blame,
    Savage, extreme, rude, cruel, not to trust;
    Enjoyed no sooner but despisèd straight:
    Past reason hunted; and no sooner had,
    Past reason hated, as a swallowed bait,
    On purpose laid to make the taker mad:
    Mad in pursuit, and in possession so;
    Had, having, and in quest to have, extreme;
    A bliss in proof, and proved, a very woe;
    Before, a joy proposed; behind, a dream.
    All this the world well knows; yet none knows well
    To shun the heaven that leads men to this hell.“

    Sonnet 129

  2. Happy Anniversary, Ken & Lori! May your marriage continue to bless so many others and build up strong families, churches, communities & nations! God bless.
