When the Family Shall No Longer Have a Head

When the Family Shall No Longer Have a Head

“When the family shall no longer have a head, and the great foundation for the subjection of children in the mother’s example is gone; when the mother shall have found another sphere than her home for her energies; when she shall have exchanged the sweet charities of domestic love and sympathy for the fierce passions of the hustings [political campaigning]; when families shall be disrupted at the caprice [impulse] of either party, and the children scattered as foundlings[abandoned infant] from their hearthstone [home], — it requires no wisdom to see that a race of sons will be reared nearer akin to devils than to men.

“In the hands of such a bastard progeny, without discipline, without homes, without a God, the last remains of social order will speedily perish, and society will be overwhelmed in savage anarchy.” (Written by R.L. Dabney who was an American Christian theologian in the 1800s)

THIS is why it is so imperative that older women in the churches teach the young women biblical womanhood. None of the famous female preachers are doing this. Instead, they are living in rebellion to God and doing what God has commanded them not to do. God has called men to be the elders and pastors in the churches. He has called them to teach the entire counsel of God’s Word, because Adam was created first (God’s authority structure) and Eve was deceived (1 Timothy 2:11-15).

Women tend to be more easily led by their emotions. If these are the reasons that women are to be silent in the churches and not teach men or be in authority over them, who gave them the authority to teach women the Bible? Why was God specific on exactly what He wanted older women to teach the younger women in Titus 2:3-5? Because it is what young women NEED to be taught. The churches need the older women to step up. Families need this and so do nations.

For the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church: and he is the saviour of the body.
Ephesians 5:23
