God’s Ways Bring Life

God’s Ways Bring Life

“Oh, be careful little eyes what you see. Be careful little eyes what you see. There’s a Father up above looking down on you with love so be careful little eyes what you see.” This is a song that I learned as a child. I sang it yesterday while I was walking with my grandchildren. It reminded me that all of God’s commands to us are due to His great love for us. Sin hurts us and Satan wants to destroy us. God’s ways are perfect.

He wants us to dwell on the lovely and the good because seeing filth and wickedness hurts us. It’s not to keep us from “fun” but to protect us. What we fill our minds and eyes with affects us deeply. This is why He commands we dwell on those things of good report, the lovely, and so on (Philippians 4:8).

He wants women to love and submit to their husbands. Feminists want you to believe that this is bondage but this is false. Loving our husbands as defined in 1 Corinthians 13:4-8 and submitting to them are for our good. It makes a strong marriage and a safe harbor for the children. He knows that two leaders never work. He created the husbands to lead and the wives to follow. In this way, there is harmony and peace.

He wants women to be lovers of children and keepers at home. No, this doesn’t keep us from our “dreams and goals” as feminists want women to believe. Loving one’s children and being a keeper at home should be our dreams and goals; for we know that His will for us is far superior than our will. It’s protection for women and children to be in the home and provided and protected by a man.

He wants women to be chaste: not have any sexual relationship before marriage and stay faithful to their husband until death do they part. This protects women from many harmful things: STDs, pregnancy out of wedlock, seeking abortions, infertility, and so on. God loves women. His design for them was created all out of love.

He wants women to “learn in silence with all subjection” in the churches. He wants men to be the leaders in the churches and in the homes. Chaos reigns when women step out from under the authority of men and rule. God created us to be more sensitive and emotional to be home caring for the children and others. God created men with more reason and logic to lead. Yes, this greatly offends many women and they are easily offended because they are more sensitive and emotional. They prove God’s point.

All of these commands to us, women, are for our good. Stop fighting them and accept them. He also wants us to dress modestly, be sober, be good, and have meek and quiet spirits; all for our good. Trust Him. He’s your Creator. He knows how you’re built, and His ways are perfect.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
Romans 12:2

  1. Excellent post today, Lori, especially the next to last paragraph.

As for “dreams and goals,” they may as well be called “pride and selfishness,” as feminists rebel as against God’s will. Many women today don’t even want to help their husbands realize their dreams and goals!

  2. So softly and Beautifully spoken. My favorite post to and for women! Psalms 119:11 Thy word have I hid in my heart, that I might not sin against thee!

  3. God’s ways are obviously best to those of us who have tasted and seen that the Lord is good. However, we will not be able to influence most of the women who have tasted the delusion of feminism’s fruits to believe that God’s ways are higher and better than our ways. There will always be the argument between the Biblical woman and the worldly woman.

  4. All well said.
I am looking for the time I will be a wife and mom, if that is God’s plan for me.
In the waiting period I am working on my relationship with Him, studying the word, learning to prepare healthy food. And I am also working on loosing weight, I have 10 more kg to go. Please pray for me, it is hard.
