How Were We So Easily Hoodwinked?
This was a series of tweets given by @goinggodward:
“Today, I went to pull a student for a session, and as I walked by the auditorium, some kids were leaving, obviously disturbed. I pulled my student from the assembly. It was a co-ed sex education class for eighth graders where actual male and female genitalia were shown on the screen. Some girls were disturbed and embarrassed and got up and walked out. The content wasn’t even suitable for adults.
“As if the images weren’t bad enough, the instructor basically told the kids they could have sex with each other just not with someone who was 16 or older. No permission slips were given to parents. It was not optional. A teacher said, ‘We have to present this because there are some parents who don’t have this talk with their kids.’ This was presented by the same person who taught the class on dating to seventh graders. My blood is boiling. How many students’ curiosity will be piqued, leading to porn use? I think it borders on sexual abuse.”
How were we all so easily hoodwinked into thinking it was okay to send our children to godless institutions for most of their childhoods to be educated by strangers and us not knowing what was going on? What caused us to think this was fine and dandy? Because everyone else was doing it? Because it was simply accepted by society?
We sent our children to public school in elementary school but then our eyes were opened. We didn’t like the path it was on so I brought them home and homeschooled them. We did end up sending them to a small, Christian high school for some years. I was terribly sick during those years, and we knew a lot of the teachers and the headmaster was a godly, incredible man. Thankfully, there were no iPhones back then so we didn’t have to worry so much about what they were seeing from their peers.
There are many good reasons why God commands mothers to be keepers at home so they don’t blaspheme His Word. I believe the biggest reason is to protect their children. As we see our nation grow darker and more wicked, His commands make more sense. But still, we should have never thought it right to send our precious children to an institution that God was kicked out a long time ago. If God has been kicked out, guess who is in control? Satan, of course, and this is clearly seen today.
Be ye not unequally yoked together with unbelievers: for what fellowship hath righteousness with unrighteousness? and what communion hath light with darkness? And what concord hath Christ with Belial? or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel? And what agreement hath the temple of God with idols? for ye are the temple of the living God; as God hath said, I will dwell in them, and walk in them; and I will be their God, and they shall be my people. Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you.
