Years ago, I loved watching Ina Garten cook as the “Barefoot Contessa” on Food Network. She was so warm and friendly. Her food always looked delicious. I loved the way she treated her husband, Jeffrey. She seemed to love serving him and making him happy.

I just watched an interview with her recently. She had a rough childhood. Her mother was cold and never showed her any love. Her father was strict, and she could never gain his approval. That sounds horrible!

She married Jeffrey when she was 20 years old. He was kind to her and supported her, things she never received in her childhood. When they married, she was the wife, and he was the husband. She was at home and cooked, cleaned, and did the laundry. Then, the Women’s Movement began, and her “consciousness” changed. She no longer wanted to be a wife. She began resenting her role as a wife. She wanted to be “partners.”

So, this is where the term partner came from, from the feminists, of course. It was just another way to destroy marriage. This was their ultimate goal. I knew I didn’t like the term partner. I have always loved husband and wife! God clearly defines the different roles in marriage, but feminism convinced women to want to be men and do what men do. I never wanted to be a man or do what men do.

My husband told me that in the business world, there’s almost always a senior partner and a lower partner, or a less productive partner and a more productive partner. There’s rarely equality. He said the best partnership is when one partner has the majority of the ownership. Every institution runs better with one boss. Two bosses created a monster. Feminism’s goal was to create a monster, and they succeeded.

Ina also didn’t want children. It would interfere with her job. She couldn’t have created a cooking show like she has if she had children. Now, she is 78 years old. She has a fortune. I will never understand women deciding against having children for a job in the workforce. They are missing out on the greatest blessings in life.

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.
