Feminism Leads to Vile Affections

Feminism Leads to Vile Affections

“For even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature” (Romans 1:22). “For even their women – that sex whose priceless jewel and fairest ornament is modesty, and which when that is once lost, not only becomes more shameless than the other sex, but lives henceforth only to drag the other sex down to its level” (Jamieson-Fausset-Bible Commentary). The natural use of the female body is to have sexual relations with a man (her husband)…

Marrying a Virgin is No Big Deal?

Marrying a Virgin is No Big Deal?

You would think, from the reaction (even from Christians) to my viral post, Men Prefer Debt-Free Virgins Without Tattoos, that marrying a virgin or not is no big deal. After all, there are few virgins, anyway, so what does it matter? Once one is forgiven, it’s all washed clean, right? For one thing, God, our Creator, tells us that it matters. He commands older women to teach younger women to be chaste. This means to remain virgins until marriage and…

Strong Single Women Advice?

Strong Single Women Advice?

“Strong Single Women: If people tell you that guys are intimidated by you, don’t mind them. Cuz, you are not going to marry that kind of man, else you will crush him and emasculate him. The man you will marry won’t be intimidated by you, but love your strength, because he will also be strong and secure in himself and God.” This was a meme being passed around social media by a Christian woman. Do you think this is good…

Should Older Women Have Careers?

Should Older Women Have Careers?

Women frequently ask me if it’s okay for them to go back to work when all of their children are raised. I can’t find anywhere scripturally where this is a command for them! In fact, older widows are to be known for doing these things: “Well reported of for good works; if she has brought up children, if she has lodged strangers, if she has washed the saints’ feet, if she has relieved the afflicted, if she has diligently followed…

Leaving Behind Her Husband and Children

Leaving Behind Her Husband and Children

There’s an article in The Washington Post written by a woman in her 60s who shared her thoughts about being a wife and mother at home. “In Anne Tyler’s ‘Ladder of Years,’ Delia Grinstead, the 40-year-old protagonist, walks along the beach in her bathing suit with $500 tucked into her tote as she leaves behind her husband and three children. Reading this, I wondered, ‘How could she do that? – Why would she do that?’ “Except it wasn’t a single…

How Wives Try to Control Their Husbands

How Wives Try to Control Their Husbands

In Genesis 3:16, we are told the consequences of sin that women would experience due to sin entering the world. One thing that would happen to them is that “…thy desire shall be to thy husband, and he shall rule over thee.” There is great disagreement about what this actually means. Even the commentaries of old disagree about the interpretation. I believe it means that the woman will desire to control her husband, just as in Genesis 4:7, we are…

Mothers Who are Blaspheming the Word of God

Mothers Who are Blaspheming the Word of God

Comments 26 comments

This post was written by Scott Brown, who is the director of the National Center for Family-Integrated Churches and a pastor at Hope Baptist Church. (Can anyone tell me why ALL pastors aren’t preaching this?) The Bible says that when a woman refuses to be a keeper at home, she causes the Word of God to be blasphemed. This means that she creates conditions that discredit the Word of God. It gives people reason to rail against God. Instead of…

Fatherlessness is Destroying Our Country

Fatherlessness is Destroying Our Country

Yesterday, I tweeted this: “The fatherless shooters among us: Of the 27 deadliest mass shooters, 26 were fatherless. It’s NOT a gun issue. It’s a ‘lack of fathers’ issue. Despite popular opinion, children need their fathers just as much as they need their mothers.’ One woman asked for the source of this quote. I posted the article for her. Here is an eye-opening comment from the article: “Indeed, there is a direct correlation between boys who grow up with absent…

How to Have a Merry Heart

How to Have a Merry Heart

How do we gain a merry heart? There are many positive and beneficial things about having a merry heart. “A merry heart does good like a medicine” (Proverbs 17:22). “A merry heart makes a cheerful countenance” (Proverbs 15:13). “[She] that is of a merry heart hath a continual feast” (Proverbs 15:15). From a merry heart comes a cheerful countenance and a continual feast. It is like good medicine without the negative side effects! It’s not faking being happy that makes…

The Fruit of My Ministry

The Fruit of My Ministry

Comments 26 comments

The fruit of one’s ministry tells us if it is good or not. Almost every day, I receive private messages, emails, or comments on social media thanking me for my ministry. I don’t write these things to boast in me because without Christ and His Word, I am nothing and would have nothing of value to teach. It’s all because of Him, and I give Him all the glory. Here are a few of the messages I have received recently:…
