What About Back Alley Abortions if Abortion Becomes Illegal?

February 8, 2019 Lori Alexander Comments 6 comments

Going back to back-alley abortions is almost always said when one speaks out against abortion and making it illegal. Yesterday, I shared a handwritten post on my Facebook page about making abortions illegal. If abortions are murder (which they are), then abortions should be illegal. As long as women falsely believe that abortions aren’t murder, they will continue to get them, but if we call a spade a spade, then they would know exactly what they are doing (which they…

The Inability Young People Have to Connect with Others

February 7, 2019 Lori Alexander Comments 13 comments

An article called There’s No Sex Recession – only a Connection Recessionexplores why young people are having less sex than their parents’ generation. “The modern generation was specifically taught to give up on love and to focus on themselves and their careers instead…The real concern, in other words, isn’t that young people are having less sex but that they’re unable to form attachments. An actual relationship with the opposite sex eludes them. Young people are afraid of commitment, and they’re…

Marriage Kills Commitment?

February 6, 2019 Lori Alexander Comments 19 comments

My friend, Carol, has been married for over 47 years. When asked what her secret is to keeping such a strong and happy marriage, she answered, “God is first, then her spouse, her children, then ministry for her, then self in this order.” In contrast, many couples today prioritize their marriages with self as first, then work, children, spouse, and then, maybe God at Christmas and Easter. According to Goldie Hawn, who has been living with her partner Kurt Russell…

Do You Cause Evil to Be Spoken About God’s Word?

February 5, 2019 Lori Alexander Comments 5 comments

Christians don’t like to talk much about blaspheming God’s word. In fact, I have never heard a sermon on this topic; have you? But God is clear in His Word that there are ways that we blaspheme His Word (speak evil of God’s Word). One way we are told is if young women are not keepers at home: “That they may teach the young women to be…keepers at home…that the word of God be not blasphemed” (Titus 2:4, 5). In…

Mothers at Home, You are a Magnificent Success!

February 4, 2019 Lori Alexander Comments 27 comments

“Your choice to be a subtle whore leech. My choice to pursue my MBA and 40-year career. I am far above you in every level.” This is a comment I received on my blog the other day. Yes, I receive many hateful comments, but this one will be disproved by what I am going to share today. In The Federalist, there is an article called Why Do Feminists Say Women Aren’t a Success if They Focus on Family? The author…

Preaching the Offensive Parts of Scripture

February 1, 2019 Lori Alexander Comments 19 comments

“God has laid out His standards. They’re not negotiable. And I’ll tell you this: if the church doesn’t wake up soon and obey the Word of God, all is lost. We don’t need to fall victim to this stuff. You don’t need a Master’s Degree to figure out what it means to love your husband, love your children, and work at home. How hard is that? By the way, there are no qualifiers there, no caveats, no footnotes. It’s just…

How Young Women Can Prepare For Marriage

January 31, 2019 Lori Alexander Comments 36 comments

How can young women prepare for marriage? It’s not easy in our culture today since public schooling and colleges sure don’t prepare young women for this. Most churches don’t even prepare young women for marriage. Many mothers haven’t been taught how to be godly wives, so they have no clue how to prepare their daughters for marriage. So how can young women prepare for marriage? Here are some suggestions from women in the chat room. “Learn how to keep a…

Why Men Want Their Wives to Work

January 30, 2019 Lori Alexander Comments 22 comments

“Many men now want their wives to work for the paycheck they bring home so they can buy more stuff.” This is a comment I made on my post The Backlash of Women in the Workforce. Here are a few men’s comments to this. Many men “want” their wives to work outside the home (“want” isn’t really the right word here, but there is no other suitable substitute) for a variety of reasons. Among them: 1. They’ve been brainwashed by…

Are You Truly Pro-Life?

January 29, 2019 Lori Alexander Comments 17 comments

We are living in an anti-child culture. This culture seeks pleasure and self over all else. Whatever makes them “happy” is what they want. Consider this article from CNBC, in which they want you to know that kids make you poor and you’ll save a lot of money if you don’t have them, as if money is everything. “Your friends may tell you having kids has made them happier. They’re probably lying. Research shows that parenthood leads to a happiness…

The Strawman Argument For Abortion

January 28, 2019 Lori Alexander Comments 14 comments

Recently, I have been sharing things about abortion on my Facebook page. I have seen a recurring theme among those who are for abortion. When you say that abortion is murder and wrong, they will come right back at you with these questions: “Are you adopting children, especially all of the ones in foster care and those who are non-white and severely disabled? Are you willing to help pay for all of the single mothers to care for their children?”…
